Couples and Family Therapy
All couples and families experience some measure of conflict in their relationships, for different reasons and at different times. Often talking to a professional who is objective and outside of your situation can help you to see things in a new light and to find possible new approaches and solutions to issues you are having with your partner or family.
Our clinicians use a wide range of theoretical frameworks and intervention styles. The focus of therapy can include any of the following, either singly or in combination:
While therapy sessions are always 45 to 50 minutes long, therapy varies greatly in terms of how frequently sessions are held (e.g., weekly, biweekly, monthly) and how long therapy continues for (e.g., weeks, months, or years). As with the approaches we use, these elements are agreed upon collaboratively.
